Start work tomorrow
We're having fun. Every day brings us a new adventure of some kind. I didn't like driving over the lake for 25 miles. We made it and all is well. Glad to be back in our fifth wheel. It kinda feels like "home".
Good night.

Topeka with Teresa
We've been at Teresa's home for more then two weeks. It's been a lot of fun.
This past Wednesday and Thursday we drove down to Wichita and stayed in the trailer. We went to a kids science museum and the boys (and us) learned a lot. It was neat watching Mary and the kids do some of the fun stuff.
Tonight the boys did a talent night. It was FUNNY! Justin is a HAM! Ryan and Tyler are equally funny.
I've been keeping busy. Mary and Teresa helped me select the fabric for a new quilt. I wanted colors that would show the Autumn colors of leaves changing. The quilt pattern I chose seems to be very challenging. So far, Mary and Teresa have have given me a lot of help and encouragement. See the attached picture of what I have done so far. Should have it done next year.
We'll be heading south for Louisiana on Tuesday for a habitat build.

Still going!
Ok, I know it has been a while, but really the internet is so slow. The campgrounds have wifi - but it ain't nothing to write home about! I tried to attach a picture to this post, but it is so slow the computer says I'm not logged on!
Since Nashville we've been to the Smoky Mountain National Park, the Shenandoah National Park, Gettysburg, Washington DC temple, saw the Rigbys. So much going on - really full days. We will have to start a "do over" list as we don't have enough time to see everything. Tomorrow we go to Philadelphia, then 2 days for New York, then Boston. Being good, having a great time. Miss you all so much!!
Love Mom

Nashville
We're in Nashville, have TV and fast internet. Haven't been able to post for a couple of days because the internet has been so slow!
We went to the temple tonight. Ran into the Bishop from the ward we went to back when Teresa and Tammy were babies. Dad recognized him --- I didn't even remember his name. Tomorrow we are going to see some Civil War sites, quilt shops and Carl and Diane Rohkar!
The picture is the view of the Mississippi River from our camp in Memphis.
Happy Birthday, Jake!!! the big 5!!!

Amarillo, TX
Here we are in Amarillo, big state of Texas. Amarillo not so big according to the manager at the RV park. We went to WalMart! Nice RV park with indoor heated pool for $18.75. Such a deal! We are going to Oklahoma City tomorrow and plan to go to the temple in the afternoon. Having great weather - not hot, not cold, just right. Miss you all!
Love, Mom & Dad
P.S. Tammy, you are funny, calling the bird like you would a kitty!! Love the pictures.

Winslow, Arizona
Standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona = part of a famous song and here we are doing it! Don't know the song, but maybe one of you do? Let us know! We started out this great this morning. Then the engine light came on, hasn't gone off. So in the morning Dad is taking the truck for a check up. We are at a very nice RV park in Albuquerque. If the truck is fixed early enough in the day we will go to the temple tomorrow. Having a good time!

Day 1 - Off we go!
Day one and no major problems. Clothes rod fell, from weight or bounce? Most clothes now in drawers or in overhead cupboard. Dad will stop at Lowes and get some wood and make a floor to rod support so we can use the closet again. Also had one of the kitchen doors fly open and stuff fell to the floor. Now know how to close drawers and drawers properly!!
We missed our session at the Redlands temple by minutes, but got to do sealings instead. Then we drove on to Ludlow - NOTHING there so we kept going to Needles. Camped at the Moon River Campground. Hot outside, glad to have the air conditiong. It ran all night. Today we go to Williams and hope to find a nice camp there. Will leave the RV and just take the truck to the Grand Canyon. Will try to call or blog with pictures later tonight.
Love Mom & Dad

Oh, the pain!!!!
Here I am again! I love reading the blogs, just am not very good at adding to my blog. So, I was telling Emily about my hurt finger and she said I should blog it.
Last week, April 9, I was working at the Family History Center. As I left the building I locked up, and when outside turned the knob on the door the check it. Then as I dropped my hand and turned to walk away my new wedding ring caught on the handle of the door. Hugh pain!!! Felt like my finger was being ripped off. I immediately removed the ring, more pain. Drove home holding my hand above my head to try to slow the swelling, more pain. Got home, put ice on hand, more pain. Lots more pain the next day. Gradually getting better. I took this pic on April 14 - bruise goes from top knuckle to the base of my finger all the way around!! It looks kind of green now, and the swelling is way down. I hope to be able to wear my pretty ring again soon.
